Oiling the countertop

Oiling the countertop once or twice a year provides moisture protection and maintains the natural look of the wood. We recommend oil over varnish as oil will not flake over time. If your hut is in full sun, you may need to oil the top more frequently. Oiling the top is incredibly easy and doesn’t require that you sand back the top, simply clean the top, apply a new coat with a brush or rag and you’re done! We recommend using Cabots Garden Furniture Oil which is available at Bunnings.
